Rain

April Rain Song

Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk.
The rain makes running pools in the gutter.
The rain plays a little sleep-song on our roof at night-

And I love the rain.

Langston Hughes

This poem was going through my head last night when it was raining. I went outside for a while to listen to it. It reminds me of my childhood and living in Oregon. The sound and smell of rain is such a comfort to me. It makes me happy.

And I love the rain. And Langston Hughes :)

I LOVE the rain also! The smell, the sound, the crisp air it usually bring, love it all!

I like that poem, and I like the rain. Glad you were able to enjoy it. I didn't even know it was raining, I just woke up to find snow - that on the other hand I could live without!
